I have been craving on trying this famous Minandal. It’s just a tumbling away from home but I never got the chance. If I am not mistaken, they have been around for months already and if not for my friends who have been referring Minandal to me, I would probably wouldn’t have found out about them. Minandal is located at 16 P. Oliveros St., Mandaluyong City, Philippines. Their landmark is the Iglesia Ni Cristo Church. Minandal is getting quite famous. Every time I passed by them, I always see a lot of people ordering. I’ve also noticed that some of their customers is not from around our place.
I decided to try them for tonight’s dinner. Finally, I got the chance to try them. They are indeed, quite famous. When I visited them, there are a lot of people. To the point that they are not catering dine-in orders anymore. Since I really wanted to try them, I agreed to take-out. I ordered what I think is their best sellers: Quarter Pounder Burger w/ Fries (Lettuce, Tomato, White Onion, Melted Cheese) and Creamy Carbonara with Garlic Bread. (Bacon, Ham, Black Olives, Parmesan)
The TASTE:
Meal
If you are looking for a taste like that of Army Navy‘s or Burger King‘s for a cheaper price, then this is the place. Their Quarter Pounder Burger is great. I am not disappointed. At first I was hesitant to try them. No wonder they are getting a lot of returning customers. They are really getting what they paid for. As for their Creamy Carbonara. It tastes great! Carbonara is one of my favorite foods, I didn’t expect that they can match my standards for a Carbonara. It was really good, no wonder it is one of their best sellers. The amount of serving is not bad. For PhP 75.00, it is actually pretty cheap. I am certainly trying their other dishes next time. I wanted to try their Beef Pomodoro Pasta but unfortunately, it was not available at that time.
TASTE: 5/5
The PRICE:
Well, for the amount of serving and the taste of food the price is okay. They are using Angus Beef for their patties and I have to admit, the price is quite reasonable.
PRICE: 5/5
The AMBIANCE:
Well, they are just starting. So I can’t really give them an unfair score here. They have a small place, but it is clean. A lot of people are ordering with few seats to accommodate them. For bloggers or ordinary people who would consider on reviewing them, they would not love the ambiance since they don’t have enough seats and will be forced to take-out. I was quite disappointed about this since I wanted to take good pictures in their place. As much as possible, I wanted to have a picture of how they present their food, not in a styro which is for take-outs. Maybe in the future I hope they would consider expanding because I have to admit the ambiance is not that good.
AMBIANCE: 4/5
The SERVICE:
I am very particular with customer service. The girl who took my order, well, she is not quite friendly. She was not even smiling. The way she said that they can’t accommodate dine-ins is not good too. I believe every restaurant, big or small, should have a pretty good customer service.
SERVICE: 4/5
My VERDICT:
I simply love their dishes. Seriously. I am certainly coming back for more. The price and taste is reasonable, enough for me to do another tumbling to visit them and order for more.
Overall score:
TASTE: 5/5
PRICE: 5/5
AMBIANCE: 4/5
SERVICE: 4/5
