Travel and Pose #03: Caliraya Mountain Lake Resort

January 25, 2015

Caliraya Mountain Lake Resort

Last January 10-11, 2015, the bloggers had a tour in Cavinti, Laguna, Philippines. We had a chance to visit Caliraya Mountain Lake Resort formerly known as Caliraya Springs Golf and Country Club. And I am glad we did. The golf course site features  a championship golf course with 7,000 yard long area with 18 holes. The Caliraya Mountain Lake Resort has 32 attractions and as far as I know, they are the only resort to offer in-water obstacle course. So if you are looking for a place for your team building, I highly recommend Caliraya Mountain Lake Resort. They have obstacle course like zip line, hanging bridge, slide and drop, wall climb slide, tire challenge, cable balance, karate kid, tarzan swing, military crawl, log crossing, horseback course, and palo sebo. They also have indoor activities like scrabble, darts, billiards and chess. You will also enjoy their water activities like the visiting fishing village, lake cruise boat, swimming pool, kayak, paddle boat, banana boat, jetski and bass boat with captain. This really indeed a great place to spend your vacation, or just a bonding with family, friends or teammates.

The view is truly spectacular. Here’s a very short video of the view.

I was able to try the zip line. It was actually my first time to open my eyes while riding the zip line. My eyes were close in my first time. This was my second time. I’ve realized, it was actually fun to open your eyes when you go zip lining. Especially when you try the zip line in Caliraya Mountain Lake Resort. You get the feel the “province” air, you get to see the view, and you get the smell the lake below you. It’s fun. Forget the fear, face it. The experience will be worth it.

Here’s a short video of my zip line experience. (Thank you JuanderfulPinoy for shooting this video for me!)

They also have a cool accommodation for those planning to stay overnight. It’s a bahay kubo (Nipa hut, a type of stilt house indigenous to most of the lowland cultures of the Philippines. Source: Wikipedia) on the outside, but inside, well still, bahay kubo but with television, bed, and etc. I love the design of their accommodation. I forgot the price, but as far as I can remember, it was pretty affordable and cheap compared to others.

One of the things I always check whenever I visit a place is the comfort room. It’s very important and a big factor for me if a place has a “clean” comfort room. And yes, Caliraya Mountain Lake Resort has a clean comfort room.

The bass boat ride with the captain is also a must try. You get to see a “perfect view” of the man-made lake. It’s like a paradise. If you love sightseeing, then I’m sure you’ll enjoy the boat ride. It’s for one hour. It will probably be one of the most relaxing hour of your life.

I am wearing: My black University of Sto. Tomas t-shirt, short jeans, pink hoodie from Crissa Jeans, and Nike rubber shoes.

My VERDICT:

The Caliraya Mountain Lake Resort is a paradise! You can try several activities that you will surely enjoy, they have a good accommodation, a good nature’s view, awesome amenities, and of course, a friendly staff. Overall, this is a perfect place for vacation for everyone.

Caliraya Mountain Lake Resort earned 5 stars from The Lifestyle Avenue.
