Sky Eye of Sky Fun Amusement Park
Last, February 28, 2013, I was literally invited at the last hour to the soft opening of Sky Fun Amusement Park, and I’m really grateful to the person who invited me. It was the Media and Charity Day of the Sky Fun Amusement Park, and it was also the day they had the Sky Fun Amusement Park blessed with a Catholic priest. Sky Fun Amusement Park is a recreational park that is part of the “Sky Ranch” project of SM Land and was opened yesterday. It is located beside Taal Vista Hotel at the E. Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay City, Philippines. It is amusement park on top of a cliff. The Riding Loop, the horseback riding (Tagaytay has been popular for the horseback riding.) adventure will also be available as part of the Sky Fun including Sky Ranch which will be opened on May 2013. This will surely make Sky Fun a big hit not only for us Filipinos families but for tourists as well. With Sky Eye as its main attraction, I’m pretty sure it will attract tourists as well. Sky Eye is currently the tallest and biggest Ferris wheel in the Philippines, designed with World Class materials, certified by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Recreation. (Source: Press Release) It has air conditioned gondolas and is 63 meters in height. Sky Fun is 2,100 above sea level, you can appreciate the beautiful view of the Taal Lake and Taal Volcano when you visit Sky Fun, and you could appreciate so much more if you ride Sky Eye. It will really feel like you are on top of the world! Soon, Tagaytay City will not only be labeled as the most child friendly city, it will also be the most visited by tourists.

I’ve seen comments if the Sky Eye is safe. Based on my own experience, it is safe. Even if you stand up on the gondolas, you won’t feel the gondolas shake. And judging by the appearance of the Sky Eye, I can say there’s no cost cutting that may affect the safety of the riders. I’ve personally tried riding Sky Eye and all I can say is it was indeed an awesome experience.

It was such a waste that I was not able to cover the latter part of the event, which is the lighting of the Sky Fun Amusement Park, due to having a low battery for my phone which I use to take pictures. Like I said, I was unprepared for the event. I’ll make it up to the event organizers and to you my readers on the Grand Launching of the Sky Fun Amusement Park which is said to be on May 2013.
