T.G.I. Friday’s celebrating the start of a new bar menu this summer. The updated bar list consists of affordable drinks like Ultimate drinks, local bottled beer at P75, beer by the bucket at P350 and beer on tap for only P60. Cocktails will be around P125. It includes staples like Long Island Tea, Bahama Mama, 77 Sunset Strip and Kamikaze. Refillable Mojito is still available, and it’s one of their most popular offerings, for a reasonable price of P295.
The T.G.I. Friday’s Red Card was available since the first week of April. The Card was distributed for free to all dining guests. The Red Card is your pass for a buy-one take-one on cocktails available every Thursday.
They also launched the “Stars Behind the Bar” tour. During the launching they showcased their celebrity bartenders, gave free drinks and gave a chance to learn the basic flairs and cocktails.
The Stars Behind the Bar:
Aldrin “The One” Javar from T.G.I. Friday’s TriNoMa – He really impressed me with his bartending skills. He has been to different places and he’s working at a casual dining restaurant in Singapore but when he heard about T.G.I. Friday’s he went back to join and tried his luck. He’s also a TESDA bartending contest winner. No wonder he was really awesome with his bartending tricks.
Benrev “The Revolurion” Bacasno from T.G.I. Friday’s Tomas Morato – He was the champion of the last year’s T.G.I. Friday’s “Shake, Rattle, and Pour Bartending Championship.” He has a sunny personality and has an impressive working flair that catapulted him to win and also gave him the chance to represent T.G.I. Friday’s Philippines at the Asian Bartending Competition that was held in Melbourne, Australia last November where he was the 2nd runner up!
Gino “The Bomb” Simbillo from T.G.I. Friday’s Marquee Mall, Pampanga – This guy has already joined and won several bartending competitions. But the most memorable for him was the T.G.I. Friday’s-sponsored competition wherein he was the champion.
Junjun “The Entertainer” Marcelo from T.G.I. Friday’s Malate – This guy also impressed me. He has awesome dance moves that made me think he was a gay. He really knows how to entertain people with winning flair-tending moves and impressive dance steps. He has a really funny facial expressions that will make you think he’s gay. In fact, he was handpicked by the Department of Tourism to promote “It’s more fun in the Philippines” to countries like India and Dubai. Awesome bartender.
Michael “Unstoppable” Rabago from T.G.I. Friday’s Glorietta – He’s an engineering graduate but he decided to seize the opportunity to pursue his real passion, that’s bartending.
Ronilo “The Showstopper” Bautista from T.G.I. Friday’s Mall of Asia- He’s an HRM graduate and has been aspiring to become a bartender in T.G.I. Friday’s since he was in college. The world-class bartenders that worked in T.G.I. Friday’s inspired him to become one. He started by competing during his school days until eventually he’s winning competitions too.
These bartenders went to a rigorous round of auditions. Most of them are also previous participants of the famous Shake, Rattle, and Pour Bartending Championship. No wonder these bartenders are really awesome.
