Philippine Daily Inquirer called for a Press Conference last Monday, March 18, 2013 for the launching of their two new websites. Mr. Jesse Rebustillo was the one who facilitated the Press Conference. He is the AVP Classified Advertising of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. He gave us some background about him. He is from Bicol, 56 years old, he is a lay minister at the Malate church and owns 30 dogs and puppies.
Mr. Eugene Rivera, the Sales Manager in print and online for the classified ads, introduced us their two new website; Job Market Online and Pinoy Best Deals. Currently, Job Market Online gets about one thousand page views a day. Employers who post in print are automatically eligible for posting in Job Market Online. The good points in Job Market Online is it has the Inquirer Feed and Latest Blogs below. All the information you need in one site. It’s free to sign up for the applicants. As for the employers, they only to pay a cheap amount for job posting. Package 1 is free, which includes 7 job posting. Package 2 is five thousand Philippine pesos for the first 200 job posting. Package 3 is seven thousand pesos for 300 job posting. Package 4 is ten thousand for 500 job posting. Another good point with Job Market Online is that the CVs there are fresh, and even though they visit schools, they make sure that they entertain the graduating students.
Pinoy Best Deals is anything about online classified selling. The good points of Pinoy Best Deals is that it has a clean design and details are complete. It’s free to post ads and you can even upload unlimited pictures. But sticky ads are paid for just 112 PHP. Sticky ads will put your post in the first page. The only difference of Pinoy Best Deals with its competitors is that they are also a groupon site at the same time. You can see the deals of the day just below the leaderboard banners.
I enjoyed the Press Conference, they welcome us to the Inquirer family, and at the same time I learned a lot that day.
