After a year of quarantines and lockdowns, I have spent most of my time facing a computer screen. If I’m not, I’m either on my phone, my Kindle Paperwhite, or my gaming consoles. So yes, I was facing a digital screen almost 95 percent of the time. Yet I have never bothered to get myself a new pair of eyeglasses. I figured I didn’t need one since I very rarely leave the house. I work at home and law school classes are currently done through Zoom, so I never took time to visit my ophthalmologist. And then the headaches started. You know you are due for a visit when you start to get dizzy a lot and you get these annoying headaches. It’s like your eyes are sending you a signal to get them checked already.
So I went to visit the nearest optical to me, OJO Eyewear. It was my second purchase with them. I really like their Japan designs feature. For Php 1888, you get a Japan frame design, graded lenses with anti-reflection and UV protection, along with a frame casing with a good quality of microfiber cloth and a free eye check up. I love their selection of frame designs, so it always took me an hour or more just choosing what is the best eyewear for me. My favorites were those from Ceroflex and Classico collection. My last eyewear purchase from them lasted more than a year, so when I was due for a change, without a doubt, I know they were the right choice. And here’s the best part, you only need to wait for 30 minutes to get your chosen frame with your graded lens. Well, like any other optical shops, this is still subject to availability of your graded lenses, but I already bought from them twice and mine was always in stock. Aside from that, OJO Eyewear also offers an upgraded lens with blue light filter to protect your eyes from strains caused by digital screens for just an additional Php 1200. That’s a total of Php 3088 if you wanted the additional blue light filter. That’s a lot cheaper than other brands.
As for their after sales maintenance services, they offer free eyewear adjustment, screw tightening, unlimited free nose pad replacement, eyewear cleaning and even free eye check and further consultation. You are getting the most out of your Php 1888 with all these free after sales maintenance services that they offer. With proper care of your eyewear and even your eyes, you can use your eyeglasses for a longer time. You can also purchase their lens cleaning kit for Php 188. It includes lens cleaner, microfiber cloth, a screw driver which you can use to tighten your screws and change your nose pad. It also includes two pairs of nose pad and screw replacement so you don’t have to visit the store in case you break yours.
All in all, I am very satisfied with my experience in purchasing at OJO Eyewear. They are my new favorite. I would also like to commend their sales people, the girl who assisted me was very patient and helped me choose the perfect eyewear for me, even if it took me more than an hour. I highly recommend OJO Eyewear if you are considering purchasing your next new pair!
