It was two years ago when I underwent my laser eye surgery with The Medical City. I never went back to another optical for post-operation eyeglasses, after all, my vision was really great. As I mentioned in my my laser eye surgery experience (read it here: LASIK: CHANGE HOW YOU SEE THE WORLD), my vision was 20/20 and 20/30 after. It was just two months ago since I decided to wear eyeglasses to protect my eyes. As a blogger and a student, I spend hours in front of the computer. I can live without eyeglasses now, thanks to my laser eye surgery, but that is why I want to continue protecting my eyes. I decided to visit Kulyan Optical.
Kulyan Optical is located in 5 Kapitan Moy St., Sta. Elena, Marikina City, Philippines. Kulyan Optical is owned by Dr. Eric Iglesias Culian. He finished Doctor of Optometry in 2007 at the Centro Escolar University. In year 2010-2012 he also taught Opthalmics and Ocular Prosthetics at Centro Escolar University. Their family business was an Optical Laboratory which started in 2003. His late father, Mr. Ely Culian was an Optician/Optical Glass Lens Maker. In 2008, Kulyan Optical was established.
Since I wanted to wear eyeglasses for protection whenever I’m using the computer, binge watching or reading, I wanted an optical who offers Crizal lens. I did a research and I found that Kulyan Optical offer Crizal and at the same time, I know that they’re one of the best Optical around the area, I decided to try Kulyan Optical.
I opted to chose Zero Flex Frame, which is a very popular Korean brand for frames. It’s very flexible and durable. The Zero Flex Frame is priced at Php 3,500.00. And as I mentioned, I wanted Crizal for protection of my eyes, I chose Crizal Prevencia which is priced at Php 2,500.oo. Their basic price is Php 1,599.00 for the frame + lens, which will include multi-coated lens and Visual exam. For visual examination, they charge Php 300.00 with or without certificate.
My experience with Kulyan Optical is great. Dr. Culian is truly an expert in the field of optometry and their collection of frames available is impressive. After using the Zero Flex frame for two months, it is still in perfect condition. I highly recommend Kulyan Optical for those looking for prescription glasses.
