Yesterday, Google launched Android One in the Philippines. The two major local phone manufacturer, MyPhone and Cherry Mobile will be the first to offer smartphones powered by Android One.
So here’s the “First Glance” of Cherry Mobile One
First Impressions:
I’ve been using the phone for less than 24 hours, but I already fell in love with the smartphone. Android One, regardless whether you will choose MyPhone or Cherry Mobile, has a very smooth interface. It is very responsive! I have never held an Android phone that’s this responsive. I am now even considering using this as my primary phone instead of my iPhone 4. The design of the user interface (UI) is perfect. It’s really better among the past Android phones that has been out in the market. The best part about having a smartphone powered by Android One is you get the updates to new versions automatically. (For up to two years of updates.) You don’t have to be a part of the Google Nexus family. You get the updates at the same time as Google Nexus users receives them.
The camera and battery are so far so good. The camera is very fast, and the quality of photos are good. You can easily view the photos and go back to camera. As for the battery, it has a capacity of 1780 mAh. It lasted for a few hours even with the 3G data enabled. I believe Lollipop consumes battery less compared to the older operating systems.
So far these are just my first impressions. I will be posting a full review in a probably a week. Feel free to subscribe via email or follow my social network accounts for updates. If you have any suggestions that you want me to include in the review, let me know in the comments. I would love to help.
