Every year we have a list of our new year’s resolution. As a blogger, I tried making a list of “Blogging Resolution” and I do hope I can fulfill it. New Year’s Resolution has this connotation that it’s a list of things you won’t do for the year, but for my blogging resolution, I don’t really promise that I can fulfill it but I will do my best. I wanted this to be a list of goals I want to achieve for the year 2015.
Here’s my 2015 Blogging Resolutions:
- One post a day. I tend to post every other day which is not a good thing since I am trying to get my audience, traffic and ranking back. If I really do intend to get back up, I need to post everyday. Since I am studying, I can’t make a blogging resolution of 3 posts a day, I think one post a day is enough.
- Few backlogs. I have a target of finishing write ups for events at least within a week. It’s not just good for my blog’s name but also for me since I won’t have to cram on the posts to the point that I will forget the things I want to write about the event I covered.
- Build my “branding” more. I have been trying to build my branding since I got back from blogging. It’s not easy. It was almost a year and I really lost a lot of traffic and audience. I believe what I did for the last month was not enough branding to get myself back up the search engine rankings.
- “Quality” Blog Posts. This is the most important resolution. I want to retain my own standards of blog posts. I know it’s possible to improve my blog posts. I do believe there is always a room for improvement. I always want to do better than I did yesterday. I want to have quality pictures on my posts with watermark if applicable. I also want to learn how to finish a quality post in a lesser time. More room for productivity.
I want to add more blogging resolutions but I think I have to stop my list from here. I don’t want to make a long list but then end up not doing any of it. I just want a short list which I trust myself I can actually fulfill. Happy new year everyone! What’s your blogging resolution? Let me know in the comments!
PS: I really want to learn Photoshop and Illustrator for this year since it’s one of the things I believe a blogger should know how to use. Unfortunately, I am not sure that I can learn it this year so I decided not to add it in my list.
