The ever-growing technology today has changed our lives. The definition of gaming and gamer had even become so broad that people had different views regarding it. But if you ask me, if you are having fun, what’s the point of being bothered by the different views? While some people may not call you a gamer if you play browser-based games, I beg to differ. As long as you are playing and having fun, it doesn’t really matter.
So now, I am here to share with you my three reasons why you should try playing browser-based games.
- Hassle-free, no install needed. You don’t need to have the most updated graphic drivers, you don’t need SSD nor have the best monitor out there in order to play these games. Just open your browser, type the website, and poof! You can now start playing! For someone who grew up playing games from Miniclip.com and Friv.com on the computer shops, I’m happy that there are still awesome new browser-based games out there like plays.org. Contrary to popular belief, browser-based games are not dead yet!
- Free and no ads! I have recently come across plays.org and their site is really good. It’s free and they have no ads. While most free games can operate by showing ads, with plays.org, you get to play without those annoying ads.
- Perfect pastime while you are in that loooooong Zoom meeting. Since the pandemic hit, I know we’ve all been there. Some Zoom meetings are unnecessarily long. This is where browser-based games come in for me. I get to participate in that Zoom meeting, and play at the same time without taking too much of my attention away from that important meeting. It’s also easy for me to choose the category of the game I want to play since plays.org have this option of choosing games by category. I can easily pick a game that can go along with my Zoom meeting.
Maybe I am old at heart, or maybe I just appreciate the little things, but I really like having the opportunity to still play games that used to be so popular before. I don’t always crave to play the most popular game. I even have old consoles like Nintendo 3DS and play old titles. For me, as long as you like playing games, you can be called a “gamer” no matter what you play.
How about you? What games do you usually play? Can you recommend some other websites that offer browser-based games? Let me know in the comments!
