Want a new interesting book to read? Tired of romance and light stories? Need a riveting story that will take you to a whole new planet literally? Well, this is the perfect choice for you! First Contact: Strings Attached is a science fiction novel and the first book from Paul J. Nelson’s First Contact series. It was published last January 19, 2016 with 320 pages. The genre is Sci-Fi/Fantasy.
It’s about an astronomer named Zalk, who discovers life on Arken, the orb circling Zeon, where they live a pre-industrial life. It began when a sassy, young reporter called Gorja slash GG slash G3 from a local newspaper, went to his humble home and interviewed him, much to his distress since GG was very attractive together with her outfit and she used his vulnerability to shake things up. Zalk improved their infant telescope that led them to a lot of conclusions. One day, while Zalk was gazing at Arken from his telescope, he received a message. Telepathically? YES. And that’s when he discovers more about the orbs known to their kind.
The books is interesting and intriguing. The story flow was great. The author used academic writing so much, which I don’t like about the book. What I can suggest to the author is he should try to lessen the academic writing approach so he can have a wider audience. Other than that, I think the book is great and the story is amazing. If you don’t mind reading a book with an academic writing approach, you’ll love the book.
