Travel and Pose #07: Uproar CamSur 2015

June 8, 2015

It’s been a while since I made another “travel and pose” post. I have been really busy with my studies and budget was really tight lately. So here goes my Travel and Pose #07!

A few weeks since my vacation started, I was invited to cover the “Uproar CamSur 2015.” It was held in Camarines Sur Watersports Complex, Pili, Camarines Sur, Philippines (CWC). Uproar CamSur is a 3-day festival of music, arts, and extreme sport thrills held last May 29-31, 2015. One last shot before the summer ended.

Day 1 of our trip was fun but tiring. We arrived at around 9:30 A.M., May 29, 2015. (We left Manila around 10:30 P.M., May 28, 2015.) Most of the day was spent relaxing. When evening came, it was time for us to watch the bands. The bands that played during the first day was mostly acoustic and rock bands. It was not yet a night of wild party, but a concert type of night. Alibata, Alex Diaz, Hoochie Coochie, Razorback, Wolfgang, South Side Floor Killers and Tag Republic were the performers that night.

Day 2 of our trip was the best for me! In the morning, we took a dip in the pool. It was nice because it was not crowded. We also took the chance to roam around and take pictures in CWC. The place was really great! It was indeed the best place for wakeboarding. They have pro and beginners lake. They have the available equipment which you will need. There’s also a trainer in the beginners lake, so if you don’t have any experience with wakeboarding, that won’t be a problem.

The evening was the best part of Day 2. The DJs were The Ramplings and DJ Miller. Everyone was having fun. Everyone was dancing. People were even allowed to dance on stage. Governor Migz Villafuerte was even there to mingle with the crowd. Which is really nice of him. He was down-to-earth. He actually partied with the crowd! He’s indeed the heart-throb of Camarines Sur! (Trivia: Governor Migz Villafuerte is the youngest governor in the Philippines as of writing this post.)

We stayed mostly at the hotel during Day 3. We got back at around 6:00 A.M. So we decided to spend the day resting at the hotel and watching movies before it was time for us to go. Some of us were able to go wakeboarding after lunch. Since we got home really late, we decided not to join them for lunch. I thought we missed the chance to experience wakeboarding, I was wrong. We got to try it before dinner. Yey!

The most memorable about Day 3 aside from wakeboarding is the performance of The Dawn. They played really great songs. They sang most of the best and popular OPM songs. They also performed some of their cover songs. I was not a fan of The Dawn before (probably because of my generation) but after their performance, I started to admire them. Kudos, The Dawn!

Those 3 days in CamSur are truly memorable for me. I got to try a new sport and bond with my friends. Camarines Sur is really beautiful. Although we didn’t get to tour around CamSur, I already saw how beautiful and nice is the place. The people in Camarines Sur are really friendly. I am certainly going back to CamSur for the Uproar CamSur 2016, to go wakeboarding and to visit Caramoan! Thank you CamSur for accommodating us!
