Health is wealth. You have probably heard of this ever since you were young. But still, it’s one of the most overlooked necessities by several Filipinos. Living in a third-world country, most of us would instead put aside the money somewhere that we think is something more important than health. Although most of us would rather not admit this, we often choose to only go to doctors when we’re already in a state of unbearable pain. When it’s already too late or when it’s already a severe case. Because we want to save money, we actually end up spending more because we have already delayed the check-up too much.
Here’s where Asistensi comes in. Asistensi’s vision is to make healthcare accessible to everyone.
Here are my three reasons why I personally like Asistensi:
- Affordable plans, accessible payment options, and flexible payment terms. Personally, this is their strong point. As a freelancer who lives from paycheck to paycheck, it’s hard to make annual or even quarterly payments for a health card. My client does not offer medical benefits so I must work that out myself and pay out of my own pocket. Since I am living from paycheck to paycheck, it’s really hard to shell out cash for an annual or quarterly payment. Most of the health care providers here in the Philippines do not offer a monthly option. I’ve done my research way before Asistensi launched in the Philippines. So when I found out about Asistensi I went ahead and checked out their plans. How “affordable” is affordable? I compared their plans, including how much I would be paying if I would be including my daughter as one of the beneficiaries.
- End-to-end services. What makes Asistensi different from other telemedicine providers currently available is that they provide end-to-end services. Aside from the unlimited 24/7 telemedicine consultations, they also have unlimited in-clinic and at-home urgent medical care, unlimited ambulance transfer, medication pick up or delivery, laboratory tests, and hospitalization and surgery coverage. What more you could ask for? While they currently don’t offer dental services, it’s soon to be available as an add-on option to your health care plan. They really made health care affordable and accessible to everyone.
-
Immediate pre-existing conditions (PEC) coverage. Yes, you read that right. You can immediately avail of their services, no need for a prior medical exam to take advantage of their health care plans. I personally do not know any health insurance provider offering this benefit. Aside from immediate pre-existing conditions coverage, they also offer up to 85 years old eligibility and you can enroll any loved one. I really think Asistensi is the best health care provider available in the Philippines right now.
