Foodies alert! A new place opened once again in Maginhawa St, Quezon City, Philippines. It’s “StrEAT Maginhawa Food Park.” StrEAT is a play with words meaning the street to eat.
It is a mother-daughter business run by Mrs. Kitty and Cheska Del Castillo. Originally planned to be a building, they explored other options to utilize the space. Kitty’s experience in the food industry (creator of Starr’s Famous Shakes) made for a perfect match with the concept and business model crafted by her daughter, marketing planner and graphic designer.
The space respects individual taste in a collective space. Hosting both food trucks and food containers with diverse food offers it aims to be a hub for specialty and artisan food and drink concepts. Its open fresh air and alfresco dinning is the perfect atmosphere to bringing a community of students, residents, visual artists and musicians, and local organizations together. I’ve got to try one of the cafe inside StrEAT, “Endless Summer Cafe.” It gave us the “beach house” feels. It’s literally a beach house in the city.
My favorite was their buffalo wings. One of my all time favorites. They have a spicy and original buffalo wings. Be careful, their spicy buffalo wings is EXTREMELY spicy. So, if you are not used to eat really spicy food, then i suggest order the original. But, don’t get me wrong, their spicy buffalo wings is really good. And it’s perfect pair would be their Summer Smoothies. I love it! I never tasted smoothies that good. And it’s pretty affordable. They have awesome flavors. My personal favorites are the Choco Banana Speculoos and Choco Banana Oatmeal. Actually, I’ve tried almost all of the flavors of their smoothie, and all of them tastes really good. Yum!
If you are craving for the “summer feels” but afraid of sunburn. Or maybe you just crave for some beach food and summer smoothies, then “Endless Summer Cafe” is certainly a must try!
