
The Subdivision and Housing Developers Association (SHDA), Inc. proudly announces its 2024 leadership board, signaling a commitment to transform the Philippine housing sector. The new board, including officers, governors, and advisers, was sworn in by Sec. Jose Rizalino “Jerry” L. Acuzar of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development on January 25, 2024.
Here are the key highlights:
- Architect Leonardo Dayao Jr., now Chairman, brings 25 years of real estate experience. He serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Pueblo De Oro Development Corporation and is affiliated with the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Diliman Chapter. His focus includes housing policy reforms and sustainable development.
- Atty. Joy Manaog, the new National President, leverages her legal expertise from PHirst Park Homes Inc. She aims to pioneer inclusive and sustainable housing solutions for Filipinos, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure quality, affordable housing.
- Other board members include Engr. Francis Richmond Villegas, Mr. Arnold Leigh Ryan Choa, Atty. Mena Ojeda Jr., Renelyn Tan-Castillejos, Ms. Clarissa De Joya, Ms. Gena Valerie Chua, and Ms. May Jazmin Colayco as Chief Marketing Officer.
The new appointments come after a transformative year for the organization. In 2023, SHDA launched its corporate social responsibility initiative, SHDA Cares, and established a fresh partnership with Habitat for Humanity Philippines. Alongside continued collaborations with government agencies such as Pag-IBIG and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), these developments emphasize SHDA’s commitment to improving the lives of Filipinos through housing initiatives.
