The 2022 Trusted Brands survey results are in – and the time to celebrate has arrived. On April 8, 2022 the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands and People Awards will be presented at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Manila at 6:00pm.
The independently-conducted Trusted Brands survey appears exclusively in the April 2022 issue of thePhilippines Reader’s Digest. It was conducted by leading market research company Catalyst Research, who surveyed 8000 individuals across the five key regions of the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan to determine which brands consumers trust most.

THE PERSONALITIES FILIPINOS TRUST THE MOST
Just like previous years, one of the highlights of the 2022 Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands awards is the list of most trusted personalities in the following categories: Most Trusted News Presenter; Most Trusted Radio Presenter; Most Trusted Variety/ Entertainment Presenter; and Most Trusted Sportsperson.

Most Trusted Radio Presenter
For over 50 years Mike Enriquez has entertained, informed and shared in Philippines life with a positive, confident and reassuring manner. Mike’s long-running presence on television and radio means he is widely recognised and admired. In his roles in radio with GMA Network, RGMA Network Inc, and Super Radyo DZBB 594 AM, he has made an indelible mark, setting the standard in media excellence that generations have come to expect.
Most Trusted TV News Presenter
With a career spanning over 37 years, Jessica Soho is highly respected for her broadcasting excellence. Her GMA Network news magazine program, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, has won wide acclaim, including a prestigious Peabody Award. Her capacity to rally on behalf of society’s vulnerable, as well as tackle the nation’s political heavyweights, has helped build a wide appeal with viewers and the public.
Most Trusted Entertainment/Variety Presenter
Vice Ganda is on a level all of his own. As a comedian, talk show host, television presenter, actor, entrepreneur and singer, his talents have been recognised for over ten years, and his involvement in social causes, particularly during the COVID-19 vaccination drive, have also won public admiration. With Vice, you never quite know what he’ll say or do, but he’ll always speak up for those without a voice, who need someone to advocate for them.
Most Trusted Sportsperson
Senator Manny Pacquiao’s boxing success has made him the country’s most successful sporting hero. That identity as a sporting great, combined with his contributions in the Senate, his charitable foundation and now as a candidate in this year’s May 9 presidential election, means Pacquiao will enjoy the spotlight for many years to come.
THE BRANDS FILIPINOS TRUST THE MOST
The award-winning Trusted Brands that are outlined in the Reader’s Digest 24th annual survey standout among their competitors. During the hardest of times throughout the pandemic, they have continued to build their customers’ trust by consistently responding to their customers’ concerns, by sympathizing with their situations and providing the necessary support.
“Trust in consumer brands is hard to secure – it takes years of careful planning, execution and nurturing,” says Editor-in-Chief, Louise Waterson. “But as we’ve seen so clearly again this year, during times of hardship brands that live up to their promises will continue to enjoy the trust of their customers. Trust is at the heart of what determines a brand’s success or failure.”
Brands that have earned the honour to call themselves a Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand have earned the privilege to carry the Trustmark Logo. For consumers, the Trustmark Logo is a trust sign that helps a consumer recognise quality, value and reliability.
Platinum Awards went to those brands that perform exceptionally, based on consumers’ perception. In the poll, these brands attained scores that exceed those of their nearest competitors. Some of the awardees were:

About the survey
The survey is an independently commissioned poll, with the results appearing exclusively in Reader’s Digest Philippines. Leading market research agency Catalyst Research surveyed a representative sample of 8000 individuals from the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan to determine which brands consumers trust most.
The survey reveals the brands, products and services that consumers believe in, over more than 50 categories.
