I was invited to the very first Cusina Idol Final Cook Off last March 16, 2013 held at the Gala Star Culinary Studio. There were 7 finalists consisting of 6 females and 1 male. Worth P500,000 kitchen showcase from Melawares, Bestware, Urban Kitchen, Perfect Dining and Sodastream awaits this finalist of the very first Cusina Idol.
During the event, the emcee interviewed each finalist and asked them why they should be considered the very first Cusina Idol. All finalists have different answers since they are coming from different age ranges, but for me, I think they all deserve to be the first Cusina Idol.
Their chance to get a hold of the P500,000 worth of kitchen showcase are in the hands of Chef Danny Dela Cuesta, the Vice President for Sales and Marketing of Superb Catch, Inc., Miss Jennifer Uy, Vice President for Advertising Sales of Business Mirror Group of Publications, Chef Reynoso Gala, Chef Sylvia Reynoso Gala, Jill Sandique, Miss Miriam Quiambao and Marvin Estigoy.
And guess who is our very first Cusina Idol? The only thorn among the roses, Mr. Justine Tee gets to take home P500,000 worth of kitchen showcase from Melawares, Bestware, Perfect Dining, Sodastream and Urban Kitchen. Mr. Justine Tee’s ticket to success was his chicken tinola and cucumber tinapa roll. He is an HRM graduate of UP Diliman, the very first Cusina Idol
