International Pop Phenomenon Charli XCX has confirmed her participation for the Asian Television Awards 2016. The 24-year-old recently started her own recording label Vroom Vroom Recordings, a subsidiary of Atlantic Records UK, which belongs to Warner Music Group, marking a new milestone in her career. Under her new label, Charli XCX released her latest “Vroom Vroom EP” on 26 February.
Said Cindy Ng, Managing Director of the Asian Television Awards, “We are delighted to have Charli XCX in our performance lineup. She has been very well-received in this part of the world, in particular, the Singapore audience, having performed in the country last year. We are sure fans will be thrilled to welcome her back to our shores.’
The Asian Television Awards has previously confirmed Adrian Pang, Stephanie Carrington and Baki Zainal as the hosts for the “live” televised segment, together with multiple Golden Melody Awards winner, JJ Lin, as a performer at the forthcoming awards. The 21st Asian Television Awards returns to the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre on Friday, 2 December 2016.
