A few months ago, I had the chance to get my hands on a review unit of the Asus Zenfone 5Q. The Asus Zenfone 5Q is the world’s first true quad-camera smartphone. Originally priced at Php 16,995, the Asus Zenfone 5Q had a price drop, which is now selling at Php 14, 995.
Here’s my 3 reasons why I like the Asus Zenfone 5Q.
- Aesthetics. The device looks very premium. It has a different design compared to the rest of the Zenfone 5 line up. There are no capacitive buttons and the fingerprint sensor is at the back. It feels very solid and well-built. For a device selling at Php 14,995, it sure feels more elegant and classy.
- Battery. The Asus Zenfone 5Q is powered by a 3,300 mAh battery. For a mid-ranged phone, this is already the average capacity. The Zenfone 5Q can last up to a whole day even while having the mobile data on throughout the day. Even the standby time is pretty impressive. But if the 3,300 mAh is not enough for you, I will recommend the Asus Zenfone Max Pro. But as a student, the Zenfone 5Q has more than enough battery which can be used as your daily driver without having to carry a powerbank.
- Display. The Asus Zenfone 5Q has an IPS LCD panel and a full HD+ resolution. The colors are pretty accurate. I can enjoy my Netflix binging session and my mobile games on this device. This 6 inch 18:9 display offered me a good viewing and playing experience. The display can get pretty bright which is makes it easy to use outdoors. It has a Blue Light filter feature which can be handy when using your phone during bedtime.
Conclusion:
My overall experience with the Asus Zenfone 5Q is pretty great. For a mid-range device, the Asus Zenfone 5Q is pretty elegant and classy. I was able to use it as my daily driver, and had a great viewing experience whenever I binge watch my series. It is not a gaming phone, but for casual games like Mobile Legends, PUBG Mobile, or AOV, I can assure you that this device won’t fail you.
