I am a lover of milk tea, that’s why when I got an invite for a modern tea shop, I was really eager to go. Last February 21, 2013, was the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Super Duck Modern Tea. It was also the same day of the drink tasting for bloggers.
Super Duck is originally from Taiwan. They opened the first Super Duck tea shop branch in Ortigas, Philippines, just behind Robinsons Galleria.
What they offer
They offer not only milk teas, but teas of different categories and some snacks. Snacks are not included in Taiwan since the people there don’t really pair drinking teas with food. It’s only that Philippines that people love to pair drinks with some snacks.

The organizers were so courteous to us. They entertained us even if they were all busy because it’s also their grand opening and ribbon cutting.

We were able to taste almost all of their teas. One general comment about it, they all smells good. It smells like a perfume. It does not only smells good but tastes good as well. Their price is also much affordable compared to other tea shops in the metro, and it doesn’t compensate for the quality of their teas.
What I love about this tea shop is their awesome snacks that you can pair with your teas! Especially the Shrooms, you have the option to choose the seasoning, whether plum and pepper or salt and pepper. I was able to taste both, and both of them tastes awesome. Super Duck’s other snacks, which they label as “quackers” in the menu are Taiwan Fries, Wedges, Asian Dumpling, Tofu Bites, Vegetable Fish and Fries, Shrooms, Vegetable Cheesedog and Fries, Vegetable Nuggets (This one tastes like chicken! Yummy!), and Vegetable Kikiam. (All the Vegetables are labeled as V in the menu, if I’m not mistaken, V stands for vegetables.) Among the quackers, I’ve tasted Wedges, Asiam Dumpling, Tofu Bites, Vegetable Cheesedog and Fries, Shrooms and Vegetable Nuggets, and they are all good. And I still crave for it, especially the Shrooms.

As for my free milk tea drink, I ordered their “Signature Milk Tea with Pearl” because I felt that it’ll be good for review since it’s their signature milk tea. And I was not disappointed. As a milk tea lover, I can assure you that their Signature Milk Tea is really good. For only 90 pesos, you can enjoy their medium sized Signature Milk Tea. A must try.
