Running and music has been closely associated for the longest time. Even way back when portable audio/tape players, late 1970s, or more popularly known as walkman. Combining music and running in one festival can certainly be fun! That’s why The Music Run is here.
The very first The Music Run, a 5k running and music festival, drew nearly ten thousand participants last year. Now on it’s second year, Philam Vitality returns to ampup an equally large, or perhaps even larger crowd with everyone’s favorite hits playing on 120 concert-quality speakers. This year, the festival will be held at the McKinley West in Taguig City, Philippines.
In partnership with music streaming service Spotify, The Music Run Vitality will rock Manila on December 3, 2016. “This is the second time that Philam Life is partnering with The Music Run. We want to send a strong message that being healthy can also been fun and engaging,” said Kats Cajucom, Deputy Head of Philam Vitality. “One of our company’s main thrusts is healthy living through our Philam Vitality program, which is the first of its kind in the Philippines. It is a full-scale wellness program where members get rewarded for making healthy choices. Through Philam Vitality, we are taking active steps to positively transform the lives of Filipinos by helping them live longer, healthier, and better lives,” she added.
The Music Run (2015)
The Music Run will include five music-themed zones, rock, pop, old school, hip hop, and dance. You can vote up to five songs per playlist everyday to choose official soundtrack for each zone. Use the live Spotify Music Voting App on the official website The Music Run, themusicrun.com.ph
Runners can choose from two event packs, the Standard Pack costs Php 850.00 which comes with a T-shirt, bag, beat band, sticker and temporary tattoo while the Rock Star Pack costs for Php 1,400.00 will receive a towel, water bottle, and cap. If 5k is too short for you, you can do laps as many as you want, so you can enjoy the music more at the same time, be able to run to your liking.
Late registration was only until last November 1, 2016. Standard and Rock Star registrants are priced at Php 950.00 and Php 1,600.oo. Chilldren less than five years old can join for free. For last call registrants, starting November 21, the Standard and Rock Star packs will cost Php 1,050.00 and Php 1,800.00. Registrants can collect their event packs at Glorietta 5, Makati from November 26-28, 2016.
